Eleventh Day, Chaing Mai

Today I had my final interview with Lek. I was able to ask her all the questions I have thought of after seeing her hard work. I am truly amazed with the hard work she has done. Her whole life is devoted to making a better home for Asian elephants. She loves them as if they were her own children, and cares for them with such passion. I have learned a lot of great things from Lek, and she has been a great role model for me.

During our serious interview, the cows started to wander toward us. As most animals are, they were interested in the film gear, and one ended up poking its horns right into Tim's butt. Animals will be animals.

Today was my last day at the Elephant Nature Park. It was sad to leave such a beautiful place, especially after having so many good memories here. But I promised Lek I would be back, so I said goodbye to Ratee and all the other animals. I'll miss them a lot.
