Elephant Rescue

In Thailand RTC aided and documented the rescue of a wild caught four year old elephant from the entertainment industry. She is currently residing at the Elephant Nature Park just outside Chiang Mai where she is adapting to her newly adopted family of other rescued elephants.

Fasai was a wild-caught Burmese elephant who was smuggled illegally into Thailand to be exploited in the tourism industry. Her history in the entertainment industry is vague. Lek Charlet, Thailand's famous elephant conservationist found her in November of 2007. Tim Gorski and Jon Kane of RTC aided Lek in the transportation of Fasai to the Elephant Nature Park near Chiang Mai. Fasai has since been adopted by a semi-wild herd of other rescued elephants and lives peacefully without chains or hooks.
